The clash took place over an eve-teasing incident by a member of a particular community, forcing the other community members to assembled near a temple in Mango and put up road blockade. Kumar said a similar incident had taken place two days ago in the area.

Kumar confirmed that two policemen sustained injuries in the brick-batting and were rushed to a nearby hospital. There was, however, no official confirmation about reports of police firing to disperse the warring group.
