Ness Wadia may be recorded after Preity's statement was done. She had been to the United States and came to India only on Sunday. However, she has been avoiding the media. POlice officials say that Preity's statement is important because that will be the basis of further probe. "We want to know exactly where she was sitting and who were these 'everyone' she was referring to," said an investigating officer. He also added. "We will decide on the next course of action once Preity's statement is recorded."
Preity, in her written complaint said,"I left for my seat, but he (Ness) came up to me at my seat and started screaming and abusing me in front of everyone." The police has recorded the statements of eight people in this case. She filed a complaint on June 12 saying that Wadia outraged her modesty on May 30 when an IPL match was on between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super King. Wadia, however, dubbed the charge as false and baseless.
