Preity-Ness case: Wadia group gets four more threat calls?
The complaint was filed at the anti-extortion cell of the crime branch of Mumbai police, which is probing the earlier threat calls.
Reportedly, the police have decided to provide security cover to two employees of the Wadia Group. They have already deployed two armed constables at Wadia office and residence.
According to the police the phone call came from Iran and was made using VOIP (voice over internet protocol, a technology that allows calls over the internet).
The police is also probing how the gangster got access to the various Wadia Group numbers.
The gangster Pujari, who was once part of the Chhota Rajan gang, is believed to be living in Australia. He is a wanted criminal in Mumbai and Mangalore for over three dozen cases.
On Tuesday, the Wadia group filed a police complaint saying a caller, who identified himself as Ravi Pujari, warned them against "harassing" Preity.
The Preity's complaint against former boyfriend Newss Wadia is being probed by Marine Drive police. Police have already recorded statements of seven witnesses.
The actor had alleged that Wadia had abused, threatened and humiliated her at the Garware Pavilion at Wankhede stadium during an IPL match on May 30.
