Lalu, through video conferencing in jail, is likely to appear before a special CBI court in two other cases on Monday. Lalu was the chief minister of the then undivided Bihar.
The RJD chief can not move higher court right now as all courts have declared holiday for Durga puja. Jharkhand high court declared holiday for Durga Puja from Saturday, Oct 5 till Oct 16. Now, the RJD supremo Lalu will be able to file an appeal against the special CBI court verdict.
Lalu has become the second MP to lose seat after Rasheed Masood was sentenced to four years in jail in the MBBS admission scam.
