The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Saturday said three men were involved in running a pornographic video on a LED screen meant for advertisements at Rajiv Chowk metro station. The culprits are said to have used their mobile phones to run the clip.
The Delhi metro rail corporation has now constituted a committee to probe the matter. The video that was played went viral after passengers recorded and shared the same on social media. The committee is examining the CCTV footage to nab the culprits.
The clipping was displayed on one of the screens meant for advertisements. "The DMRC is not aware about the clip. This LED screen was under commissioning and testing by a private contractor. We will check all the details of the commissioning process to see whether such a clip was played on the LED sccreen and take adequate action," said a statement from DMRC
An incident of pornographic content being played in a public place was reported from Kerala in June 2015. Disturbing content was displayed on a television placed for advertisements in Wayanad's Kalpetta bus stand. A cable operator was arrested in connection with the case.
