Polling ends in West Bengal
Kolkata, Apr 4: Polling came to an end on Monday evening in 18 assembly constituencies in the Maoist-affected western districts of West Bengal.
While the scheduled time for conclusion of polls was 4 p.m. in 13 constituencies identified as Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected areas, the election timing officially got over at 6 p.m. in the other five seats.
However, there were queues of people in a number of booths even after the scheduled end of polling.
