Political violence continues in Kerala: DYFI activists hacked

Hours, after a crude bomb was hurled at an RSS office in Kozhikode, two activists of democratic youth federation of India, were hacked by miscreants. The duo was hacked in Palakkad district, Kerala on Thursday night even as a CPI(M) office in Kozhikode was set ablaze in what was understood as retaliation to the attack on RSS office. A complaint filed with the police named three BJP workers for the attack on the two men.

The attack on the RSS office came after an RSS leader announced a bounty of Rs 1 crore on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's head. Three RSS workers were injured in the attack and were shifted to Kozhikode's Government Medical College. Hours after a crude bomb was hurled at the RSS office, miscreants set CPI(M) office in Kozhikode ablaze. The hacking of the two DYFI members came hours after the attack on the RSS office.

Meanwhile, RSS activists across the country decided to protest against the violence perpetrated against their members and offices. Dozens of RSS members gathered in protest in Hyderabad on Friday morning to condemn the killings in Kerala. Protesters accused the CPI(M) led Kerala government of deliberate silence on the political murders.
