Police registers case in connection with hacking of Barkha Dutt's Twitter account

New Delhi Dec 14: Police has registered a case in connection with the hacking of Twitter and email accounts of journalists Barkha Dutt and Ravish Kumar.
A group called Legion allegedly hacked the accounts of Dutt and Kumar. The hackers had also hacked into Vijay Mallya's account and it is suspected that they were involved in the hacking of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's twitter and email accounts.
A complaint was received on Monday and Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing has initiated a probe in the matter.

"We have registered a case and taken up investigation. All professional and mandatory steps are being taken to investigate the matter. We are in touch with the concerned agencies.
"It does take time to get information from agencies in other countries but we are coordinating with them. All best possible legal procedures concerning other countries are being followed," said Dependra Pathak, spokesperson and joint commissioner of police (Southwest).
