PM Modi talks about Water Conservation in Mann Ki Baat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through one more episode of the popular series Mann Ki Baat on All India Radio. Through this popular series PM shares his emotions and ideas close to his heart with the people of India.
He also shares important messages and suggestions that he gets from various citizens through the website MyGov. In today's episode of Mann Ki Baat PM talked about global warming, importance of water conservation, how parents in particular and society in general should motivate students and not bog them down with their expectations, moving towards cashless society, importance of motivating sports persons from sports other than cricket and encouraged people to make Yoga a part of their life.

"Got the opportunity to meet CMs of drought affected states. Decided to meet every CM individually as opposed to calling all CMs together and having one meeting. So many states have undertaken wonderful efforts to mitigate the drought...this is cutting across party lines. Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have used technology very well to mitigate the drought. Jan Bhagidari is also vital."

PM requested people to pledge to conserve every drop of water. PM Modi then talked about the need of moving towards transparent government and he stressed on the importance of changing old habits and moving towards cashless society.
PM said that, "World is moving towards a cashless society and more technology is being used. Through the JAM trinity we can move towards a cashless society."
PM on importance of sports:
PM Modi requested people to encourage those who are going to represent India in Rio Olympics. He also praised Sarbananda Sonowal for his efforts to motivate the players during their training for Rio Olympics."

PM further added that, "We all should understand the importance of sports in our life. When players know that the nation's best wishes are behind them their motivation level will be high. We all know our craze for cricket as a game but I was amazed at the support and suggestions I got for football and how to make it more popular in India."
PM talks to students and addresses their concerns:
"I congratulate all those students who cleared their examinations and those who could not should not lose their heart but with lot of dedication start working for better results next year."
PM talks about a student of MP who got 89.33% but was told by family and friends that he missed 90% by just 4 marks. PM said this is agony of living in society which has got a negative mindset.
PM requested people to have positive mindset and encourage students for their efforts that they put in and not bring their motivation level down by talking about more better they could have done.

"You are being bogged down by the expectations of society. Be satisfied with what you have attained and do not let people discourage you. Be happy with what you have attained and use that to attain higher levels of success in future."
PM requested parents and teachers to ensure that they do not impose their expectations on their wards and let them excel in the field that they want to. PM gives example of musicians who had attained excellence and huge success in life. PM talks about the importance of cleanliness in living a healthy life. Especially the poor people should ensure they live in clean way.
PM on Yoga:
PM talked about the Yoga Day that will be celebrated in June and talked of how Yoga can help one reduce stress and live healthy life. PM encouraged people to take part in the International Yoga Day which will be celebrated on the 21st of June this year. PM requested people to make Yoga a part of life and organise Yoga Day event on the 21st June.
