New Delhi, Mar 21: Union urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "God's gift to India and messiah for the poor".

"He inherited challenges in each and every sector. He steered clear of them," Naidu said while moving the political resolution at BJP's national executive.

The two-day meeting was inaugurated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah here on Saturday.

PM Modi is probably the first leader of the party who has been termed "god's gift", that too in his presence.

He also described PM Modi as "Modifier Of Developing India" and described him as a "decisive leader, nationalist politician who provides progressive governance". Naidu also said India was "recognised and respected as the most favoured destination for investment", reported the Times of India.
