PM Modi congratulates Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan
Thiruvananthapuram, May 25: Congratulating newly sworn in Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he looked forward to 'working closely' with the LDF government headed by him for the progress of the state.
In a tweet, Modi congratulated Vijayan who was sworn in this evening.

In the run up to the fiercely fought May 16 assembly elections in Kerala, the Prime Minister had courted controversy by comparing Kerala to Somalia in the area of infant mortality rate.
BJP for the first time managed to open its account in the state with former Union minister O Rajagopal winning the Nemom seat from Thiruvananthapuram.
