Physically abused workers in Saudi, finally returned to India
Kerala, Dec 26: After a long struggle and being physically tortured by their employee in Saudi Arabia, all three India workers on Saturday, Dec 26 returned to their home town -- Trivandrum, Kerala.
External Affair Minister, Sushma Swaraj earlier had announced that the three workers would return to the country and she also declared the flight details.
While writing on micro-blogging site Twitter, Swaraj tweeted, "All the three Indian workers are reaching Trivandrum from Saudi Arabia by Flt FZ 439 at 02.30 hrs on 26 December 2015."
All the three workers are from Haripad in Kerala's Alappuzha district. They were taken to Saudi by the placement agency. They were promised that they will be given jobs and many other better facilities.
Kerala police registered a complaint against the placement agency and travel firms.
A video allegedly recored by one of the men showing that Saudi Arabian employee assaulting them with a wooden stick. The video, which went viral and has been circulated on Whatsapp, saved the lives of the trapped workers.
Oommen Chandy, Kerala CM, took quick step and approached Swaraj to get them (the workers) back to India.
