Ajmer, Apr 22: Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said people with feudalistic ideology were carrying out negative propaganda against the Prime Minister as they are finding it difficult to digest the way Narendra Modi was working for the development of the country.
Naqvi was here to present a Chadar on behalf of Modi at the dargah of 11th century Sufi saint here. The 803rd annual Urs of the Sufi saint began here on Monday. [Naqvi presents chadar at Ajmer Sharif on behalf of PM Modi]
After offering Chadar, Naqvi said, the Prime Minister had seen days of poverty and was working for welfare of the nation as well as for uplift of poor people, which has made the opponents uncomfortable.
The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs said such people were not able to digest that a man from a very common and poor family had become the Prime Minister, who was tirelessly working for the development of the nation.
"This is why such people with feudalistic ideology are carrying out negative propaganda against the Prime Minister," Naqvi told reporters, without naming anyone.
He said such people want to see only member of a family as the Prime minister of India. Naqvi arrived here this morning in a helicopter and paid obeisance in the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti here, amid tight security arrangement.
"I offered the Chadar on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his message, the PM has wished for the welfare of the nation. He wishes India to be the top county in the world and wants that the benefit of the development reaches to all the people of the country," Naqvi said.
