Lucknow, Nov 26: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Wednesday accused the BJP of selling dreams of 'achche din' (good days) like a marketing companies and people were still waiting for that dream to come true.

"The party sold dreams during Lok Sabha polls like marketing companies sell their products. The question is that when these good days (achche din) will come," RLD national general secretary Jayant Chaudhary told reporters here.

He said, during Lok Sabha elections claims of large amount of black money being stashed in foreign banks were made, but "now Prime Minister Narendra Modi was feigning ignorance about the quantum of money stashed outside the country".

Chaudhary alleged that it seems that when the PM visits other countries, he interact less with the people there, but talks to the people here through television. He also attacked the NDA government for not reacting to Russian defence minister's maiden visit to Pakistan and their agreement on cooperation.

"A large chunk of defence procurement is from there. There was no step or major reform on big issues and condition of farmers was getting worse day by day," he said. Chaudhary alleged that both the government - one at the Centre and another in state were responsible for the plight of the farmers.

He said land acquisition was another major issue. "I was surprised when Union Minister Arun Jaitely said that defence projects were not heading forward due to acquisition law. There is pressure on the government to amend the law," he alleged.

The RLD said that the issue of memorial of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh was a larger issue. "The government has given 45 per cent land in Lutyen's zone in Delhi. We want that Chaudhary Charan Singh also get a place in Delhi. Not only RLD several other parties and organisation have raised the demand," he said.

The RLD leader said even the demand raised of Bharat Ratna to the former PM has supported by leaders across the party line. When asked whether RLD would join no-Congress, no-BJP alliance of the parties he said that let the things emerge and there was nothing dymanic in the politics.

Jayant said the results of Lok Sabha elections were not good for the party and now it would concentrate to associating people. "Anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh will be celebrated on December 23 and on this day we will launch online membership drive.

We will take resolve to reach each and every people and associate new people along with old colleagues," he said.
