New Delhi, Dec 20: In a media meet in New Delhi on Thursday, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that the blasts that rocked Patna, Bodh Gaya and Bangalore earlier this year have been solved.

Assuring that India can trust the Government of India with their promise of keeping the citizens safe, he said,"I assure the people of this great nation that the resolve of Government of India to provide safety and security to all cannot be challenged. Hanging of Afzal Guru, Ajmal Kasab and arrest of Yasin Bhatkal, Tunda, Haddi and solving blasts cases in no time, proves this resolve. Government will deal with an iron fist when it comes to terrorism."

He further added that the Government of India did not want another 26/11 like situation. Hence, the speedy action in three of the four cases (including Hyderabad). However, Shinde did not elaborate his statement. While the Bodh Gaya blast took place in the Buddhist monastery, the Patna blasts were targeted at a rally of BJP's Prime Ministrial candidate Narendra Modi's rally. The Bangalore blast too was targeted at the BJP office.

Sushilkumar Shinde thanked the usage of effective tools like the NATGRID (National Intelligence Grid), which provided timely and effective information on any probable anti-social activities.
