The governor of Tamil Nadu has invited E Palanisamy to form the next government in Tamil Nadu. He is likely to be sworn in as the chief minister of the state on Thursday at 5pm, following which he will have to prove his majority on the floor of the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly.
Palanisamy earlier met with Governor Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan. He told Rao that he has the required strength to form the government in the state. While inviting him, Rao also told that a date to conduct a floor test would be fixed.
