"Two of Pakistan's largest Urdu papers this morning reported that Indian politician Jayalalitha had died (she's alive)," Senior Pakistan journalist Omar R Quraishi said in a tweet on Monday.
Quraishi later slammed the leading Indian news daily for "wrong reporting" and said he was merely taking a dig at the leading Urdu news papers that erroneously reported it.

Meanwhile, the Apollo hospital continued to maintain that the Chief Minister is very critical and continues to be remain on life support. Several leaders have come out and told the media not to speculate until there is an official confirmation on the news.
The 68-year-old Jayalalithaa had suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday following which her condition remained extremely critical. She has been in hospital for the past 76 days.
