Goa: Over 20 school kids, teacher injured as bus falls into ditch
A student and his school teacher were seriously injured, while 20 other children received minor injuries when their bus fell into a ditch at Sanvordem village, around 70 km from here, police said.
Panaji, Dec 2: A student and his school teacher were seriously injured, while 20 other children received minor injuries when their bus fell into a ditch at Sanvordem village, around 70 km from here, police said.
The incident occurred this evening when their bus was on the way back to Thivim from picnic.
"One student and a teacher from St Annes School in Thivim were seriously hurt and 20 others received minor injuries when their bus fell into a ditch," a police spokesperson said.
"The bus, carrying 63 students, was returning after visiting Selaulim dam in South Goa. The accident happened around 6.30 PM," the official said.

The injured were immediately referred to a primary health centre at Cacora, where they were given first aid. Two, including a teacher named Nilima Jha, were referred to district hospital in Margao town, as they suffered serious injuries.
Police said total eight school buses had gone to Selaulim dam on picnic today.
