Shiela Dikshit's troubled days
New Delhi, Oct 27: For 15-long-years, Shiela Dikshit lived at a lavish government bungalow situated at 3, Motilal Nehru Road, while serving as Delhi's Chief Minister. Later, the Congress leader was given another bungalow when she was appointed as Kerala's Governor. Now, once Delhi Congress' face, Dikshit is passing her days at a small flat in South Delhi.

Shiela had to vacate 3, Moti Lal Nehru bungalow for outgoing PM Dr Manmohan Singh. Hence, the former Delhi CM has been shifted to a two-bedroom flat that too on first floor.

As per sources, 76-year-old Congress leader is facing a lot of trouble as she has to climb staircase to reach at her new residence as there is no lift in the building.

The former Delhi CM bargained hard to get a lift installed but her neighbours didn't allow her. One of the reason's for Shiela's problem is because she lives alone in the house.

It must be noted that the unlike other states chief minister of Delhi is not entitled to get a government bungalow or a flat. Hence, they have to find an accommodation of their own in the national capital after leaving CM's office.

To freshen your memory, Delhi's 49-day CM Arvind Kejriwal had to vacate his duplex, after resigning from his post. He is now living in the house allotted to his wife, who is a government servant.
