According to a daily report, Om Mathur who was recently made BJP's national vice-president would be the new Chief Minister of the State.
The reason could be to stop further embarrassment to the party. The BJP knows that if matter will not be sorted out within days then it will take toll on the recently earned good will by the Modi Government.

Earlier, speculation was rife that Raje will meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh and party president Amit Shah in Punjab. But a latest report says that Raje has cancelled the meeting at end moment.
When asked about the reason, Raje's press advisor said, "Due to back pain, the Chief Minster's doctor has advised her to take rest so she has cancelled her visit to Punjab today".
Earlier, Raje had spoken to Shah over phone on Wednesday to explain her position. Congress has been demanding her immediate resignation along with that of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, saying they have no right to continue in office after helping the former IPC Chairman who is facing money laundering and other charges.
