Chennai, Jan 24: Days after senior Congress leader Janardhan Dwivedi hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's victory in Lok Sabha elections, former Union Minister PC Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram faces disciplinary action for praising the Prime Minister.
According to report in Times of India, Karti could even be expelled from the Congress for praising PM.
On Friday, theTamil Nadu Congress Committee issued a show-cause notice to Karti, asking why he should not be expelled for his anti-party remarks at a meeting with his supporters in Chennai. On Thursday at a gathering along with his supporters, Karti praised Modi for his "political acumen".
He said, "Though I dislike Modi, he has carried the party along with him across the nation to such an extent that in the last election it was a vote for him."
Few days earlier, Congress leader Janardan Dwivedi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an interview.
