New Delhi, Dec 18: Once again spewing venom against India, Lashkar-e-Taiba chief and 26/11 mastermind, Hafiz Saeed, has blamed New Delhi for the Peshawar siege and massacre of children at a Pakistan school and vowed revenge. Even former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in an interview to a private news channel has also blamed India for the terror attack in Peshawar's Army Public school in which 148 people, mostly students, were killed.
Alleging that India was behind the attack, Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed vowed revenge and was quoted as saying in media reports, "If India can send troops to Afghanistan to help the US, then Mujahideen have every right to go to Kashmir and help their brethren. Kashmiris are clamouring for help and it is our duty to respond to their call," he said.
As per a TOI report, "Intelligence agencies have sounded an alert regarding Pakistan-based terror mastermind Hafiz Mohammad Saeed's designs to unleash attacks in India, and blame the same on the Indian security establishment. The warning, generated by the multi agency centre on Tuesday, flags the possibility of Saeed-led Lashker-e-Taiba or Jamaat-ud-Dawah targeting two hotel lobbies in the national Capital as well as an unspecified location on the Delhi-Agra highway.
The alert cites Saeed's statements, published in Pakistani newspapers on Tuesday, saying that Indian intelligence agencies would carry out attacks in India, and then blame them on Pakistan's ISI."
According to a Wall Street Journal report, Saeed on Wednesday condemned Tuesday's bloodbath saying it was carried out by the enemies of Islam. According to the report, Hafeez called the act as open terrorism and said barbarians were operating in the name of jihad.
