"Consumers can get regular information about bills, payments made and pending payment via SMS, by simply registering their number with DJB," CEO Delhi Jal Board, S S Yadav said.
This can be done by sending SMS or by registering at DJB website www.djb.gov.in. Registration via SMS can be done by typing DJBIN<10 DIGIT K No.> and sending it via SMS to 7738299899, the official said.
This facility will not only benefit more than 21 lakh DJB consumers but will also minimise their grievances about non-receipt of bills, and information about payment etc., the official said.
Whether there will be any case of disconnection in water supply or new developments regarding water and drainage related issues, now everything will be communicated through SMS facility.
