New Delhi, At a time when the issue of conversion in Agra is rocking the Parliament and creating troubles for the government in passing the crucial bills, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Katiyar on Thursday gave a new twist to the ongoing debate.
"Omar Abdullah's grand father and grand mother were Hindu who later converted to Islam," said the Katiyar, who is a champion of Ram Mandir issue.
Speaking over Agra conversion issue Katiyar said, "People of other religion are silently converting people to their religion, but this matter is being unnecessarily raised."

Omar Abdullah had earlier attacked the BJP-led NDA government on the recent issue of conversion of nearly 200 Muslims to Hindus in Agra. However the Jammu and Kashmir CM has not yet reacted over Katiyar's statement.
Speaking on the Agra issue Katiyar further said that those who were reconverted are grown ups and you can not forcibly reconvert 200 people to any religion. Everybody became a Hindu only out of his/her wish.
