Patna, Feb 4: Speculation is rife over the return of Nitish Kumar as the chief minister of Bihar.
According to news reports, majority of JDU MLAs think that current Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi is not competent enough for the post and want former CM to return to the top post.
The party MLAs think that Manjhi will be unable to convey the party's achievements ahead of the State elections scheduled in 2015 and only Nitish could handle the campaigning in better way.
New reports also say that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad has also voice his opinion in favour of Nitish.
It is reported that Nitish is likely to hold a meeting with party MLAs and senior leaders on Wednesday.
Last week, Nitish had denied speculation about Manjhi's ouster. "There is no substance in media speculation over Manjhi's ouster... no discussion took place (with Janata Parivar leaders) during my visit to Delhi nor was it necessary," Kumar had said.
