New NDA govt to unblock 12,000 Twitter accounts
New Delhi, June 9: Around 12,000 Twitter accounts blocked by previous UPA government will be unblocked soon, says an NDTV report.

The decision was taken by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance government, said the report.

Some of the Twitter accounts were blocked for using abusive language against parties like BJP and Congress during the recent Lok Sabha election campaign.

According to sources, the NDA government decided to unblock the accounts as it wants to interact with everyone.

The freedom of speech on social networking sites is a much debated topic. Recently, a techie was beaten to death in Pune for putting up abusive post against Shiv Sena on Facebook.
