Dave has been arguing that a case of disproportionate assets has been made out and the High Court of Karnataka was wrong in not appreciating the evidence. Dave yet again points out the calculation mistake of the High Court which gave Jayalalithaa the benefit of an acquittal.

1.23 pm: Dushyanth Dave, counsel for Karnataka tells Supreme Court that Jayalalithaa and others had floated companies to hide the illegal assets. The companies that are involved in this case were all floated by Jayalalithaa and her aides.

12.53 pm: The Karnataka High Court in rejecting the criminal conspiracy in the Jayalalithaa DA case says Dushyanth Dave, karnataka's counsel in supreme court. The trial court had clearly made out a criminal conspiracy, but it was casually rejected by the High Court.

12.22 pm: Jayalalithaa has misused public office. She along with Sasikala Natrajan, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran conspired together and made Rs 55 crore. They misused the government office, says Dave.

12.17 pm: Why did Jayalalithaa not disclose her assets to any public authority. It is a pre-requisite of the law to declare assets before a public authority. None of these factors were taken into account by the Karnataka High Court.

The quantum of disproportionate assets arrived at by the High Court was also wrong. It is an order that needs to be set aside and the verdict of the trial court needs to be upheld, says Dave.

12.15 pm: Jayalalithaa made Rs 55 crore in disproportionate assets when she remitted office in 1996 April 30 says Dushyanth Dave arguing for the state of Karnataka. Dave also submitted that the Karnataka High Court took a very casual approach to cas. The High Court did not take into account the findings of the trial court. The approach by the Karntaka HC judge was too casual.
