Mamata Banerjee and Narendra Modi
Kolkata, Nov 10: Trinamool Congress refused to entertain Narendra Modi who recently praised Mamata Banerjee. Trinamool Congress general secretary Mukul Roy said that their party supremo does not need any appreciation from any leader.

Modi, during an election campaign rally, praised Mamata Banerjee regarding her "brave" act which prompted her to fight with UPA government at the centre. Modi was quoted as saying, "Mamata didi fights against Delhi for Bengal, for the rights of the people of the state."

Snubbing Modi's statement, Mukul Roy said, "We don't know what someone has said. Our leader Mamata Banerjee is fighting for the people of Bengal, for the development of the state. We don't need anyone's certificate."

We don't need anyone's certificate. We don't know what someone has said

The Trinamool Congress leader also lashed out at former West Bengal CM and CPI(M) leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee. The former CM mocked at Mamata Banerjee after being praised by Modi.

Criticising the CPI(M) leader, Mukul Roy said, "We all know about the mentality of Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee. The unholy nexus of Congress, BJP and CPI(M) in the state are trying to pursue communal policies in the state and to destroy peace and harmony in Bengal."

Cracking jokes on Modi and Mamata Banerjee, Bhattacharjee recently said, "Only a gem can identify another gem. He (Modi) has identified the right person (Mamata Banerjee)."

Here it can be mentioned that the lefts are known as Modi critics. Now, the BJP PM candidate's statement on Mamata Banerjee irked the CPI(M) leader.
