Modi will be accompanied by state president Rajnath Singh at Amrrodon-ka-bagh ground, the venue for the meeting, party sources said. Tuesday also happens to be the concluding day of state party chief and former chief minister Vasundhara Raje's 14,500-km-long Suraj Sankalp Yatra, which she undertook across the state since April. Raje will also be present at the meeting.
The Congress accused the BJP of wooing Muslims to attend the rally
Around four lakh people, including the BJP's local and senior leaders, are expected to attend the rally.
Meanwhile, a report said that the BJP's minority cell had asked members of the minority community to follow a particular dress code while attending the rally. While men have been asked to wear sherwanis and topis, women have been asked to wear burqas. The Congress alleged that it was the BJP's deliberate attempt to lure minority members although the party has rejected such claims.
Sources in the BJP said people from all sections are welcome to attend the rally and thre was no special treatment for any one community. Another party leader said it was the minority cell's decision and it had all the freedom to take such a call.
Senior party leader LK Advani was not invited to the meeting, the report said, raising more speculation.
