Revealed: Pakistan ISI's possible plan to assassinate Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Nov 5: Days after Patna blasts, security arrangements for Narendra Modi has been beefed up. Now, Intelligence Bureau (IB) has informed that Pakistan's spy agency ISI may use Khalistani terrorists to assassinate BJP's PM candidate.

Earlier it was reported that terrorists from Pakistan have been trying to infiltrate into India's territory aiming to kill Modi. The terror groups, according media reports, hold the Gujarat CM responsible for the infamous 2002 riots in the state.

Modi, who is already getting Z plus security of National Security Guard (NSG), will receive security almost similar to the prime minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

Times of India quoted IB sources as saying that ISI allegedly had gathered Khalistani terrorists to eliminate Modi who has been holding rallies across India. Khalistani terrorists are believed to be the newest weapon of ISI who uses the militants to fulfil goals of the spy agency.

The Gujarat CM will be provided a three-layer cordon. The cordon includes -- a special security drill, advance security liaisioning (ASL) - requiring coordination of central and state forces - made mandatory for all his public engagements.

As part of the stepped up security, Modi now has three layers of protection: one group to take on any attackers, a second to provide cover and a third to get him to safety, reported the daily.
