Sheila Dikshit bears UPA curse, faces Modi pressure to resign as Kerala Governor: Reports
Media reports also claimed that Dikshit might be transferred from Kerala to a smaller state if she continues to resist her resignation from the post. It seems that Congress-led UPA curse has been haunting the former CM under whose leadership the party had experienced one of the most humiliated defeat during Delhi assembly election in December 2013.
Sheila, who ruled Delhi for 15 years as the CM of the national capital, refused to comment on media reports calling it "rumours". Earlier BJP leader Subramanian Swamy claimed, "The governors should resign themselves. They were appointed by Sonia Gandhi and not on merit." However, there were no confirmed official reports which says that Modi government has been creating pressure on UPA-appointed governors to resign.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi tendered his resignation on Tuesday, June 17. He submitted his resignation to President Pranab Mukherjee, officials at Raj Bhawan said. There were unconfirmed reports that HR Bhardwaj and JB Patnaik -- Karnataka and Assam governors respectively, too have resigned.
Other state governors, who along with Dikshit may face resign in near future, are -- Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil, Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, West Bengal - MK Narayanan, Kamla Beniwal Governor Gujarat, K Sankaranarayanan in Maharashtra and Devendra Konwar in Tripura.
