Bangalore, June 17: Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit seems to have been facing the heat of the new central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to media reports, the 76-year-old has been pressurised to resign as Kerala governor, but she refused to stoop to the pressure.

Media reports also claimed that Dikshit might be transferred from Kerala to a smaller state if she continues to resist her resignation from the post. It seems that Congress-led UPA curse has been haunting the former CM under whose leadership the party had experienced one of the most humiliated defeat during Delhi assembly election in December 2013.

Sheila, who ruled Delhi for 15 years as the CM of the national capital, refused to comment on media reports calling it "rumours". Earlier BJP leader Subramanian Swamy claimed, "The governors should resign themselves. They were appointed by Sonia Gandhi and not on merit." However, there were no confirmed official reports which says that Modi government has been creating pressure on UPA-appointed governors to resign.
