New Delhi, April 21: It seems that Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra may face serious legal trouble as general secretary of Congress -- Digvijay Singh dared well-known lawyer and BJP leader Arun Jaitley to file an FIR against him.

During an interview with a news TV channel, Digvijay said, "Mr Arun Jaitley is a very smart lawyer. If Robert Vadra has violated the law, what has stopped the BJP and him from filing an FIR (First Information Report) I am daring him. Let Mr Arun Jaitley file an FIR against Robert Vadra."

Speaking about Narendra Modi and his alleged role with the Adani Group in Gujarat, Digvijay also said, "Vadra has broken no law, if he has, he will not be shielded by the Congress. Let Modi first explain his links with Adani."

Digvijay's latest statement on Vadra and Jaitley surfaced following the latter's recent remark in which he claimed that Vadra was a symbol of misuse of power in 10 years of Congress rule in India.

Vadra has been accused of taking advantage of his political connection in many sweetheart land deals in Haryana and other parts of the country.

Opposition parties including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have been targeting Congress hurling corruption allegations against Priyanka Gandhi's husband. Recently, BJP senior leader Uma Bharti too said that Vadra will be behind the bar if NDA comes to power after this Lok Sabha election.
