Nagaland murders: 5 of 9 murdered identified
The rest four have been kept in Dimapur district hospital. As per police, the first body that was identified was that of a local student union leader and a resident of Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
Nine heavily bodies were found piled up over each other with their hands tied to their backs and blindfolded.
4 of the dead belong to Karbi Anglong district.
There are bullet injuries on their heads, which are suspected to be shot from a close range. Police sources say that these bodies could be that of Karbi youth who were kidnapped in Nagaland in December last year, following the murder of four Naga villagers in Karbi Anglong in a shootout in Karbi Anglong on December 27.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland government has ordered a high-level probe into the killings. 7 companies of CRPF and Assam Police Battalion have been stationed in Karbi Anglong to maintain peace.
