Mysuru Shame: 17-year-old rapes 9-year-old girl
The two boys were beaten up and were handed to Narasimharaja Police on Thursday, Nov 6. Police later released the friend of the accused as the cops were confident that he was not involved in the crime.
According to sources, the incident took place on Nov 3 but everything came to light on Thursday. The victim, a Class 3 student, was raped at the house of the accused.
Accused threatened victim to face dire consequences if she reveals rape incident
The victim's mother died a few years back and there were nobody in her house who could take care of the child. Hence, his father used to leave the 9-year-old girl to his neighbour's house and go to work.
The accused, who is the neighbour of the victim, allegedly had threatened her to face dire consequences if she speaks about the rape incident to anyone. The 9-year-old got scared and she did not disclose the reality to anyone.
However, one of her aunts suspected something wrong and took her to hospital. After preliminary investigation, doctors suspected that the girl was sexually assaulted. After being questioned, the victim narrated the horrible incident to her aunt.
After hearing about the incident, villagers caught the accused and tied him to a pole and thrashed them. The girl and accused were sent to K R Hospital for examination. DCP A N Rajanna (Law and Order) said that based on the victim's statement, they registered a case against the 17-year-old minor.
