Kalam said he urged Modi to lead the nation to great heights and stress on sustainable development along with peace and prosperity.
The former president also said that he conveyed three messages to Modi in this regard.
First, to resolve the water scarcity problem in both the urban and rural areas of the nation. "This is possible only by National Smart waterways Grid, ensuring water availability during drought time, and also managing water storage and distribution during flood time," Kalam said in his post.
Secondly, creating earning capacity for every family, especially the middle class and those below the poverty line. Kalam said it could be done only by "establishing 7000 PURA Clusters through physical, electronic, knowledge and thereby economic connectivity".
Thirdly, generation of employment possibilities for 64 million youth.
The former president said Modi agreed with him that each of this mission is significant and assured that he would work towards such development with help of good governance.
Narendra Modi will take oath as India's next prime minister on May 26.
