Shame on Mumbai: Twitter becomes angry as people do not vote

Mumbai, April 24: Total 19 constituencies including Mumbai went to vote in Maharashtra on Thursday, April 24. However, Dream City Mumbai disappointed everyone as most of the people and mainly the common man did not turn up to the polling booths in the city.

Micro-blogging site Twitter witnessed an angry side of people who cursed the Mumbaikars who did not cast their votes. It was expected that in a city like Mumbai, while many people are educated and well informed, would take the privilege of their rights to cast votes.

However, Bollywood and corporate celebrities shocked many as their performed their duties. Bollywood actors such as Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla and many others cast their votes.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray along with family members too cast their votes in polling booth. But, the aam aadmi (common man), who always complaint about their miseries, difficulties and apathy from government, did not bother to do their duties. Only 26.27 per cent votes have been cast in Mumbai till 1 pm.

Mumbai North (29.14 per cent), Mumbai North West (25.70 per cent), Mumbai North East (26.50 per cent), Mumbai North Central (24 per cent), Mumbai South Central (27 per cent), Mumbai South (22.3 per cent), Raigad (34.57 per cent).

Mumbai Votes has been trending on top on Twitter in which people are showing their rage as Mumbai once again failed to vote.
