Mumbai: Bollywood stars protest hawker's zone at posh Pali Hill
Mumbai, April 13: Bombay Municipal Corporation or the BMC has irked the posh residents of the Pali Hill locality in Mumbai, which is home to Bollywood stars like Rishi Kapoor and Manish Malhotra.
Residents carried out a protest against the BMC ahen it declared the area as a hawking zone. The protests were led by actor Rishi Kapoor, Prem Chopra and designer Manish Malhotra.
The celebrities claim that while various corners of the city have been marked as Hawking zone, the localities where ministers resided were kept off limits.
Speaking on the matter, actor Rishi Kapoor said,"Why are there no hawking zone where ministers stay? Pali Hill is a residential colony, not a commercial area. There are other places in Mumbai available for commercial purposes."
