Mumbai: 3 months after marriage, Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh's wife commits suicide
Mumbai, March 8: Neelam, wife of Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, was reported to have committed suicide at their Mumbai residence on Sunday, March 8.

The reason behind the extreme step taken by Neelam could not be ascertained. According to police sources, her body has been dispatched for autopsy.
21-year-old Neelam alias Priyakumari Singh, hanged herself from the ceiling fan using a dupatta at her flat in Evershine Complex in suburban Andheri, senior inspector at Amboli police station Ramesh Khadtare said.
Priya was found hanging at about 3 AM today by her sister, who was at Priya's home along with her husband and son, he said.
"The reason behind her taking the extreme step is not clear yet. Her family says she did not manifest any signs of depression. After spotting Priya hanging, the other family members informed Pawan, who had gone out. Pawan then rushed back home after getting the news," he said.
The body was taken to the nearby civic hospital where postmortem was conducted, police said, adding, the family would be questioned in a day or two to ascertain the cause behind her suicide.
