More Pari'war' at SP's function as uncle, nephew lock horns

Lucknow, Nov 5: Mulayam Singh Yadav may have tried his level best to put up a united front at the silver jubilee celebrations of the Samajwadi Party. However the uncle-nephew jibes were out in the open yet again.

Akhilesh and Shivpal took pot shots at each other which did cause a great deal of embarrassment to the party which was celebrating this function in the presence of several other party leaders expected to be part of the grand alliance in the poll bound state of Uttar Pradesh.

How many times will you humiliate me. You removed me twice, but I have also struggled said Shivpal Yadav. I have given my blood for the party. People who have done nothing are enjoying perks, Shivpal said in a clear dig at his nephew.

Akhilesh however hit back by saying, " when will some people understand. Some are not willing to understand. When everything is destroyed then they will understand he said. You have given me a sword, but not authority to use it, Akhilesh.

On the other hand, Akhilesh went on to state the importance of defeating the BJP in UP. The UP election will decide the future of the country. The BJP is dividing the people. We will come back in UP and stop the BJP." Uttar Pradesh has given more than 70 MPs to the BJP, but look at what the party has done for the state, Akhilesh also said.
