Modi shares stage with Uddhav Thackeray
Kalyan, April 21: The BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday addressed a massive election rally in Kalyan in Maharashtra on Monday evening. Dismissing The Gujarat chief minister shared stage with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Sharply criticising the Congress and NCP for corruption, divisive politics and bad governance, Modi appealed to the people to vote out the Congress-NCP alliance.

Modi said that the State and Central government's outright arrogance reflected not only in their false promises but also in them being unaccountable for their actions and inactions.

"In Balasaheb's absence, more focused efforts were required to make him glad"


"The Central government promised to make India slum free but did not do a thing in these 5 years. They are not even talking about it, misleading people. Jobless growth has become the hallmark of this Govt. We cannot let things go on this way. We need to create more opportunities," said Modi.

Modi condemned the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's statement of ‘Congress being a soch (thought)'. "I think Congress is in a dilemma,"said Modi. For Congress and its allies, India was actually the ‘Mother's Land', while for the BJP India was their ‘Motherland', said Modi.

The UPA will be wiped out after the election, said Modi, adding that no state will they touch double digits.

Modi also paid reverence to Shivaji Maharaj, Babasaheb Ambedkar and Bal Thackeray. "In Balasaheb's absence, more focused efforts were required to make him glad", said Modi.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who joined Modi on stage, condemned the rampant corruption in the present government and stated that this had only ruined the nation of its development prospects, whereby industrial giants were leaving the Nation.

Thackeray also criticized Ajit Pawar, saying the intimidating politics he practiced. Pawar garnered votes on the basis of threats, said Thackeray.
