New Delhi, Feb 27: Its been 12 years since Ram Vilas Paswan parted ways from the NDA over differences over the Gujarat riots. Today, both the party leaders will be meeting again to reunite ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

In a press conference yesterday, LJP Leader Ram Vilas Paswan revealed his willingness to join hands with a powerful party and discounted a third party alliance with the Congress and RJD, complaining that both the parties did not show a positive response to the proposal.

Paswan had been hinting on an alliance with NDA and has said that the decision would be on the basis of what the party members want.

He said,"Our alliance was with RJD, not with the Congress. Since there was a deadlock in our talks with RJD, the party has decided to look for options."

The alliance could be a big blow to the RJD and Congress that dreamt of forming an anti-BJP coalition in Bihar. Meanwhile, the BJP has promised LJP 8 seats in Bihar in the upcoming election. [Read full report]
