Minor boy raped, set on fire in Maharashtra
Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), Apr 6: A 7-year old minor boy was allegedly assaulted sexually and then set on fire by his assaulters for resisting the move.
This happened in Padmanagar in Bhiwandi town in Thane district of Maharashtra when the boy had gone to eat at a Langar or Community meal.
He was lured to an isolated and raped. He sustained 30 percent burn injuries, but escaped somehow. He is now being treated at the Thane Civil hospital. Meanwhile, a case has been registered under sections 363 (kidnapping), 377 (Unnatural Sex) and 342 (wrongful confinement) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
3 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
