Meet Yogi Adityanath, the animal lover
At the age of 21, he renounced his family to become a disciple of Mahant Avaidyanath, the then head priest of the Gorakhpur Mutt.
Yogi Adityanath, the new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh is a well-known figure in the state. Adityanath, who is the founder of Hindu Yuva Vahini, holds a BSc degree in mathematics. On the contrary part, Adityanath is also an ardent animal and nature lover. He also has animal trusts in his name where his staff takes care of animals which are injured or left abandoned by their master.
Adityanath's gau seva
After yoga and daily prayers, he feeds the cows at his ‘gaushala'. He takes his breakfast only after feeding the cows. It is learnt that Adityanath feeds the cows and gives food to them every morning during his day to day chores.
Adityanath's love for monkeys
His love for cow is nothing new. He is said to be loved by almost every animal. Whenever Adityanath walks in the Gorakhnath temple premises, homeless animals who are very close to him, come running towards him.
The tiger of UP
Adityanath feeding a tiger cub in his lap has already been doing rounds on social media which shows his ‘animal lover' image. It is learnt that the cub was kept in the ashram for a few months and was later handed over to the forest department for rehabilitation.
