Unlucky Indian boxer refuses Bronze
New Delhi, Oct 1: Tragic irony hit India on Wednesday, Oct 1. While magnificent Mary Kom won Gold medal, unlucky Sarita Devi left her bronze medal on the podium and left the stage in tears.

Sarita Devi, the Indian boxer, missed her gold medal bout at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea. It has been claimed that the judges allegedly were biased to the boxer from the host country.

Earlier Sarita Devi's husband C Thoiba had informed that they would accept the medal at the ceremony but would return it as a mark of protest later.

The world was shocked when a dominant Sarita lost her light-weight semi-final bout against South Korea's Jina Park in dubious circumstances on Tuesday, Sept 30. Following the match, Indian contingent lodged a complaint but it was rejected by the International Boxing Association (AIBA).

After her controversial defeat in the game, devastated Sarita was quoted as saying, "I don't accept this decision. It's wrong," even as her husband Thoiba confronted the match officials screaming: "You've killed boxing!"

Judgement of the controversial game irked Indians and micro-blogging site Twitter has been flooded with comments on Sarita Devi:
