Married couple clicks selfie before committing suicide in Tirumala

Tirupati, April 27: Just after marriage, the young couple ended their lives at Rambageecha guest house in Temple town of Tirumala. They even clicked a selfie before committing suicide inside the guest house room.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 26, when TTD security staff alerted the police about the incident.

The couple was identified as Sampath Kumar and Satya Vani, who hailed from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.The couple checked into the guest room three days ago and TTD staff member grew suspicion after they didn't get any response from the room for cleaning.

With the help of police, the staff member broke the door and found that the couple were hanging from ceiling hook. They had allegedly removed the fan from the hook. Later, they used the hook to hang themselves.

Police recovered mobile in which they left behind a selfie before taking an extreme step to end their lives. Police also found a video message in which the couple didn't blame anyone for their decision to end lives.

According to media report, Sampath divorced his wife and later proposed to marry her close relative Satya Vani. It also came to light after investigation that parents did not agree about their decision to get married.

The local police inspector, Vijay Sekhar filed a case and launched an investigation. Later police informed their relatives in Coimbatore about the incident. The reason of suicide is not yet known but police suspect that the couple might have ended their lives because family were against their marriage.
