Man 'shoots' wife to death in UP

Ghaziabad, Dec 30: A 22-year-old woman was shot dead allegedly by her husband in Kotwali area here, in what is being suspected as a case of dowry death.

The woman was shot dead allegedly by her husband Vikas last night with her parents alleging that she was being harrassed for want of dowry, and killed by her in-laws when she failed to fulfil their demands, police said.

The woman's father has lodged a case of murder against her husband, brother-in-law Aakash, father-in-law Sohan Pal, mother-in-law Suman and sister-in-law Pooja.

"Vikas has been arrested and the pistol used in commiting the crime seized from his possession. Efforts are being made to nab the other accused," police station in-charge Dhirendra Yadav said.
