Twitter slams man who requested Ola cab with 'Hindu driver'

New Delhi, April 7: At a time when Government is contemplating to stop mobile application which provides taxi services, Ola cab has set a good example.

The cab provider recently snubbed a customer who had demanded a cab with Hindu driver. The man is being slammed on social media for making bigoted statement, posing risk to communal harmony of the country.

Ola's response to 'Hindu driver' request

Reportedly, a request was made by Seelam Veerapa Naidu who is a physician by profession. He made a request on twitter as quoted by Newminutes, "Being a Hindu i usually prefer Driver of Hindu Faith Only , Particularly in Hyderabad.. pls Give us a chance to Choose a Driver" .

Within minutes, the Ola replied him saying "Sorry, we don't discriminate against our drivers on the basis of their religion."

Later Naidu clarified by saying that why my statement is being read in wrong way. "Why Shld we see it as Discrimination instead of Customer Preference", tweeted Naidu after huge uproar.
