PM Narendra Modi
Mumbai, Oct 9: It was a tough decision for them, but students of Vidya Pratishthan College near Baramati have decided to skip PM Narendra Modi's rally to have a glimpse of Salman Khan.

As many as 15,000 students studying in the college run by NCP chief Sharad Pawar were to attend Narendra Modi's rally in the area but when they came to know about Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif coming to their college, they dropped their plan.

According to a report in Mid-Day, rumours are doing rounds in college campus that both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are likely to visit Baramati for a road show to support NCP candidate Ajit Pawar.

Speaking on the issue, college principal said that she does not have any official information regarding Salman's visit.

A student has been quoted in the report as saying, "Choosing between Salman and Modi was a tough decision. But now we would prefer to meet Salman and Katrina who may visit the campus, rather than going for Modi's rally."

Meanwhile, BJP Baramati candidate Balasaheb Gavde alleged that NCP leaders are deliberately spreading such rumours to ensure low turn out of students at Modi's rally.
