Lucknow rape
Lucknow, July 27: In a latest twist in Lucknow rape-murder case, report claimed that more than one person were involved in the brutal rape-murder case of a 32-year-old widow in Moradabad.

The latest reports shocked many as it contradicted to the police version as cops earlier had informed that only one person raped and killed the victim.

Days after the arrest of the main accused Ram Sewak Yadav, media reports on Sunday, July 27 stated that the victim had resisted rape attempt after which the accused hit her multiple times causing injuries.

Meanwhile, two policemen were suspended for dereliction of duty by Akhilesh Yadav's government which has been facing criticism for the law and order situations in the state.

Two daughters and other family members of the victim continued their protest demanding a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the case.

Earlier victim's father was quoted as saying, "We are sitting on a dharna with two children of my daughter and other relatives at GPO Crossing. We will continue to press for CBI investigation. The government has not yet recommended a CBI probe into the incident and we are waiting for it."

The brutal case of murder and rape came into notice when the victim's naked mutilated body was found near a school in Uttar Pradesh. Initial reports suggested that she was raped and was attacked brutally when she had tried to resist and put up a tough fight against the accused.
