LS election: Exit polls predict big win for NDA
Most exit polls predict that the BJP will beat Congress and others. However, none is sure if the BJP and its allies will get the magic number of 272 to cross the half-way mark in the Lok Sabha.
The post-poll survey by Cicero for the India Today Group, showed the NDA scoring between 261 and 283 seats. A majority of 272 is needed to form a government, although that is often achieved with outside support from regional parties. (Read full story here)
The NewsX-CVoter survey predicts the BJP getting 251 seats. The party had won 182 seats in 1998 and 1999.
According to News 24-Chanakya survey, BJP will get 291 seats, NDA - 340, Congress -57, UPA - 70 and Others - 133.
NDA to get 272 to 283 seats, UPA to get 110 to 120 seats all over the country, says Aaj Tak survey. BJP might get six seats in Delhi.
ABP Tv's three exit polls projected the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance to win 281 seats in the 545-member Lok Sabha. The Congress could end up with just 97 seats, says the survey.
